US expert Farid Zakaria said - 'Modi able to lockdown in country, Trump does not have power'

US foreign affairs analyst Farid Zakaria is of the opinion that the US has failed to effectively control the corono virus due to the decentralized federal structure.

 

 

More than 6 thousand deaths due to corona in America were criticized by Trump for underestimating Corona, calling the American system decentralized

The US is facing severe criticism for its inability to effectively deal with the outbreak of the Corona virus. More than 240,000 cases of corona virus have been reported in America, which is the highest in the world. So far, more than 6 thousand deaths have taken place due to the deadly virus in America.

The death toll from the Corona virus in the US reached a new level on Thursday after officials said that more than 1,000 people died due to the epidemic in a single day.

Why did America fail to deal with Corona?

However, US foreign affairs analyst  Farid   Zakaria  says that the US has failed to effectively control the corona virus due to the decentralized federal structure.

In an exclusive conversation with India Today Group news director Rahul  Kanwal ,  Farid  Zakaria said, "The American system is very decentralized. The state only plays a part of its role in social responsibility, and unless the president and the White House are present in that system, it is difficult for the state to function well. '

Farid Zakaria says that 'the decentralized structure of American federalism is its weakness. In times of crisis it is important to have a strong central government, as in India. Modi is capable of lockdown in his country, but Trump has no right to do so.

Farid Zakaria said, 'There are many different departments in the federal government. For example, the Congress, the White House, all 50 states, and then there are many layers of bureaucracy. In such a situation, if the White House does not cooperate properly then it is difficult to do anything. 

US President Donald Trump is under criticism for not taking the threat of corona virus seriously. Farid Zakaria says, "You have a Trump-like president who doesn't take matters seriously, who disbanded important units and kept looking at the problem for a long time."
